About

My name is Anne. I am French and live in Paris.

I started my blog as a birthday present to myself in August 2010. Freshly graduated at the time, I was looking for a job in marketing and missed working on creative projects. I felt the need to share my gorgeous finds and when flipping through French Elle and Vogue Paris, I always noticed fabulous exhibitions and events I couldn’t attend because they were happening far away. Because of that I wanted readers to experience what I was living in Paris and elsewhere through my blog as best as possible.

In October 2010 I found my first job that made me move to New York City the following month. My blog then became French-American with posts on my new city and my travels back to France. My 2-year contract came to an end and since I was missing Europe, I took up a new job in Paris. I am now back to enjoying the great style, food and arts of the City of Lights and love to share this passion with readers.

Please feel free to reach out to me at ritournelle.blog@gmail.com for comments and suggestions on what you would like to see on my blog. You can follow me on Twitter and Instagram at @Ritournelleblog. I also have a Facebook page.

Past collaborations with brands include Caudalie (here and here), Maison Francis Kurkdjian and Plaza Athénée. Ritournelle was linked to by Anothermag.com and Miss Moss and has been featured on WordPress.com’s Freshly Pressed 3 times (August and December 2010 and June 2011).

  1. We sound like kindred spirits! I’m an Australian girl who now lives in Cambridge/London, is Parisian at heart, and dreams of spending 6 months in NY and Tokyo. And I worship Sofia, Emmanuelle and Charlote!

    • Thanks Cathleen, that’s great to know! I’ve stopped by your own blog and really enjoyed it, especially since you’re a fashion industry professional.
Yes I have thought about Twitter since a lot of people use it to promote their blogs. I’m quite new to blogging (3 weeks) so I just haven’t taken the time to really set this up yet, but it’s on my list of things to do.

    Hello Anne!

How are you? Hope you’re fine. I’d like to invite you to check it out my first new blog. It’s the embodiment of a simple and unpretentious project (which was incubated for a relatively long period) to be a channel to expose issues that I appreciate … It’s a recognizable fact that I had some important sources of inspiration and you were certainly one of them ;-)

Hope you enjoy it and you and your opinions are always welcome!
    All the best, F.
